NFTs: What Are They and Why Should We Pay Attention to Them?

You’ve probably seen this acronym floating around a lot lately. NFTs are “non-fungible tokens” – digital assets with individual characteristics that make each one unique. The metadata inside each NFT is unalterable and acts as a “certificate of authenticity,” making NFTs highly collectible and sought after. They’re being touted as the future of the gaming industry, art collection, and real estate. 

NFTs are creating a space where collectors can support artists directly, and the resale market for these assets is already booming. Recently, someone paid $390k for a 50-second video by Grimes. Another paid $6.6 million for a video by Beeple. And virtual kittens are being bought and traded for up to $170k. Yep.

Clubhouse Launches Monetization for Influencers
Clubhouse is basically a motivational LinkedIn post in audio form, but it’s working for a lot of people. They’re now launching a Creator Pilot Program (currently about 40 members) who will have the opportunity to monetize their influence on the platform through brand partnerships, sponsored rooms, paid club memberships, in-app product launches and more.
