LRXD Brings Simple Joy Back to Snacking with New Packaging Design for Spread Delights

In an age when terms like “gluten-free,” “metabolism-booster” and “superfood” are shaping the snacking norm, sometimes all people actually want is something good to eat. Started by New York-based pastry manufacturer, International Delights, Spread Delights makes three on-the-go, single-serving spreads (Raspberry Jam, Chocolate Hazelnut and Almond Spread) that taste great on everything from toast to ice cream. And though their spreads are made with quality, natural ingredients, you’ll never hear them make an absurd health claim. They’re just here to do exactly what their name implies — spread delight.

Tasked with redesigning a retail-facing 10-count box, as well as a 20-count box and individual stick packs for grab-and-go scenarios, LRXD set out to create a look that lets hungry customers know that Spread Delights is exactly that delicious, quick snack they crave. Our solution? Allow our mouthwatering ingredients to speak for themselves.

Like the spreads, each design keeps things simple by putting the main ingredient front and center. Around that central ingredient is an exaggerated swirl of flavor that represents the spread itself, as well as its smooth, indulgent taste. Paired with minimalist design elements and modern typography, we reinforced the simple elegance that the product can bring to any snack.

Sometimes the best snack is whatever brings a little fun to your day. Hopefully, customers will soon discover that snack is even more enjoyable with Spread Delights.
